Customer reviews of the Kawada Hotel
|
"Good value if you don't mind the edgy location after dark
" |
|
"Disappointed by the lack of *advertised* facilities such as restaurants
and bars - there were none, (all shut-up) just a down-at-heel not
particularly clean diner/cafe only open at breakfast time next door with
very poor selection of food.
Also rather noisy at night as the windows are not double-glazed. Air-con/heating units old and noisy.
However, staff helpful and pleasant and rooms themselves not bad value, even if very much in need of re-decoration. Everything worked, and there was the added plus of a kitchenette - fridge, cooker, although no utensils/plates supplied. (understood later you could ask, although no info in room). No way should you pay the advertised room price of $119.
Had the air of a very knife-edge operation, only just staying afloat. Whole place needs sprucing up. Dodgy area at night - on edge of downtown with lots of vagrants. One nearby OK bar.
"
The best thing about Kawada Hotel was:"Close to Music Centre (reason for our visit)
"
The worst thing about Kawada Hotel was: "Lack of eating/drinking facilities and, except for above, bad area.
