"This hotel was fine however we didn't realise it was so far up at the
the Upper West side. Rooms are fine, bit on the small side. Great it has
air con as we went early September and it was pretty hot. Overall good
hotel and subway is just a few blocks away.
"

etc.

"Having stayed at the astor hotel new orleans, I assumed that the astor
on the park was apart of the same hotel chain. When the taxi pulled up
I was convinced that he had the wrong place. We arrived to dirty bed
sheets, which were replaced once we complained..but had to wait a
further two days for a new set. There is no safe in the hotel, and dont
expect anyone to know anything....the room was modern and lacked space.
It was two blocks to the subway which was good, and staff were
pleasent. Its good if u are not into luxury or special services, basic
hotel for light travellers. This is not a three star and dont let the
name Astor fool U."

area looks isolated"

"Great value, but a long way up town, was rather scruffy inside and had
a lift that never worked which ain't great on the 7th
floor.
Sure the photos on the web looked great but they
definitely are staged shots!
BUT if you want somewhere cheap and
half decent and safe it's your place!"

"Would have been better if coffee and a microwave facility was
supplied. Room was small, but clean. Would likely stay there again as
staff were helpfull"

"Staying at Astor in the Park was a very pleasant experience.
The
hotel was easy find to find, very near to a Metro line & the room,
whilst small had lovely views of the park.
The fact that we could
step out of the hotel, cross the road & be in Central Park, made this a
great location to stay.

"Good hotel, friendly staff and really really clean.
Not the biggest room, but who needs to be in it? 10mins subway ride from Times Square.
Only bad points - Noisy pipes and thin walls
WOuld stay there again!"
