"The Pod's hotel location was great for seeing all the major sights of
the city, and most of them are within walking distance. The hotel staff
were all friendly and accomodating and the room was always clean with
fresh towels and bed linen. The Pod Cafe which we ate in for breakfast
was lovely and the food was always very nice and well priced. There
wasn't any disturbance from traffic on the road outside, and the room
had everything you would need it to. The rooftop garden was a nice extra
and a great place to see the city from. Overall we were very pleased
with the pod hotel and would recommend it to others.

Good luggage storage service on the day we left.

"Stayed in a double room in The Pod Hotel for 4 nights; the place is new,
trendy and comfortable! The rooms are quite small but the idea of the
hotel is to stuff as much functionality in as small a space as possible.
The result has been pulled off fairly well; beds are comfortable, plenty
of storage space under the bed and about the room etc.
Nearby to the hotel there are lots of great restaurants and bars; it is a very nice area to chill out in. There's also a small public garden across the street with a waterfall which is great for sitting and enjoying breakfast. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel to anything touristy (eg: approx 20 blocks to Empire State Building) but a bit of exercise never hurt anyone!
The only gripe I have is that the hotel is a bit costly, but if you want assurance that you will be staying in a decent hotel - stay here.

"Safe central location, staff helpful, clean room, hairdryer, lots of
towels but no bath size, safe a bonus, will book Queen size next so I
don't get the wall! Reception acted immediately when people decided to
bring the party home at 3am. Very mixed age group staying but I didn't
see any under 10 years. We used the taxi 49 dollars from jfk which saved
a lot of hassle (40 mins at speed). When we booked out and locked our
bags away, we were given the option of group travel to air port in
people carrier saved again lots of hassle and even cheaper than taxi
(direct no other stops). I stayed at the y m c a Vanderbilt last time
paying only a little less for a creepy bunk room with added bonuses that
you can well do without. Will gladly stay at the pod again it is just
what it says it is.

"4 night stay in March in a double ensuite room £274, easily better than
some £100 per night ny Hotels I was looking at. The double room was
spacious, modern with ipod docking station and flat screen tv. Very
clean and nice decor. The ensuite lacks a bit of privacy with just a
frosted slide door but the communal ones are new, clean even had side
jet streams and music and they were always available when we checked.
The staff were helpful and gave us a a document including personal
reviews of local restaurants and bars etc. The Hotel is very close to
all the mid town shopping /sites times square and central park. There
are lots of places to eat and drink on the same block including don
caminos mexican and a superb Japanese bbq restaurant. There is a spanish
and french restaurant next door also. Getting to the village or soho etc
for a night out is about $15 in a cab. The hotel does an airport shuttle
for $20 per person and for a flat $45 you can get them to book you a
limo instead. I would definately recommend and the Midas deal was the
cheapest by far I found.

"We stayed at the Pod Hotel from 28th feb-4th march and couldn't fault
it! The rooms were quite small but when you're out all day sightseeing
and shopping that doesn't matter. They were very modern and clean and
had everything you want in there. We had our own bathroom which was a
bit strange as there wasn't really a wall to the bathroom- it was
frosted glass! That was odd but would be fine if travelling as a couple
and the shared bathrooms were all clean and just as nice (but with
proper walls!). My friend and I were so impressed considering we paid
£272 for the two of us for 4 nights, all the other cheaper hotels we'd
looked at looked awful, but this was the complete opposite! The hotel is
about a 10min walk to 5th avenue so it's in a great location. We were at
the back and our room was also very quiet considering we were in midtown
manhatten. Would definitely stay there again if I went back to New York!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and warm, with safe, hairdryer and toiletries. We had a double bunk pod room with a shared bathroom. Our room was the closest room to the bathroom which was fab because it only to took us a second to get to it once we saw the 'vacant' light on.

"You can't go too far wrong with The Pod Hotel. If you are looking for
somewhere in New York that is smart & modern (and very affordable), this
is a great choice. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The
rooms are basic, and the bunk-bed twin we stayed in didn't leave much
room in between the sink and the beds. However, it's cleaned everyday,
you only really spend the night sleeping in it, and you are getting a
good deal. Our room came with a shared bathroom. Again, this was fine
because there are several on each floor (all cleaned daily). Nearby
subway stations, and easy walking to several key mid-town locations like
Central Park. a couple of good diners further up 2nd Avenue as well!
Both myself and my brother would happily stay there again.
