"Good value in a midtown location

"My friend and I were looking for a simple hotel, no fuss - and this is
what we received! The staff were very helpful and always on hand to
assist us with our queries.
The room was a little smaller than we would have liked, so there wasn't much room to move or put our shopping or suitcases, but it was clean, as was the bathroom - that's the main thing! Free safety deposit box was a great addition, fresh towels and maid service daily, lovely shower - great hotel overall! The only thing that we would have liked was a towel hook/coat hook in the bathroom and bedroom! - that was the only thing missing from our stay - overall - a great hotel for the money we paid.
"
The best thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was:"Clean hotel with helpful staff
"
The worst thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was: "Small rooms, not a great view of the city either.

"Adequate room with brusque reception
" |
|
"The hotel's location is extremely convenient. My room was small but well-
attended to. Male staff at the reception desk were brusque and
unwelcomg, and it would have helped to be told at the outset about the
availabiliuty of ice on the tenth floor.
"
The best thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was:"Excellent location
"
The worst thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was: "Unwelcoming and somewhat rude male staff at the reception desk

"Great location; standard room - tiny, clean.
" |

"Room small. Always clean, but we had a big brown wet patch on the floor
by the bed when we arrived, but this was addressed by the staff putting
large towels on the floor until it dried. Location was good for the
Empire State, Macy's; and for walking to Times Square and Broadway.
Staff were efficient in addressing questions and helping to book events.

"Close to everything with all that you need" |
|
"Formerly a women's refuge, the 30 30 Hotel is situated close to
everything you need. There are plenty of Deli's nearby, a Subway stop
(on East 28th), Madison Square Park (4 blocks away), the Empire State
Building (visible from our room) and even walking distance (12 blocks)
of Times Square. There is no restaurant inside the hotel, but there is
one next door. The rooms are small, but comfortable; big enough for two
people. The bathroom is very compact, with a vanity basin, mirror and
hair dryer, a toilet and a shower packed into a tiny space. The lighting
in the bathroom wasn't great, and there is no mirror in the bedroom, so
if you wear contact lens, take a mirror with you and stand by the
window. The room we stayed in had great views of the Empire State
Building, so you could watch the sun rise behind it. You had to look
past the "roof" of the floors below which had pigeons and left over
food on it, but this was just below the window ledge, so as they say,
don't look down. In a bustling city where space comes at a very high
premium, you get what you pay for, and this hotel certainly delivered."
The best thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was:"Location"
The worst thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was: "Bathroom was a bit small, but we went to see the city, not the
restroom!"

"Great, central location with adequate ameneties - good value for
money!" |
|
"Whilst initially the rooms are a little on the small size, there was
more than enough storage space and a real sense of New York Boutique!
R
The staff were friendly and helpful and the internet facilities
in the large lobby were a real god send for people like my wife nad I
who were travelling through america. R
I would highly recommend
Thirty Thirty for affordable, comfortable, clean and friendly
accomodation. "

The worst thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was: "Rooms size was a little small, but more that adequate"

"Clean, small and good for the empire state" |
|
"Not bad (apparently by nyc standards). The rooms are tiny! I mean they
are really small - just about enough room for a cat to be swung. Two of
my mates got a bit shafted on the shower and storage front (one got no
storage at all). On the plus point, my room was very good for a sleep
etc type thing. Location is good for macys and empire state, long way
from greenwich village etc but I think that is true for most of nyc (it
sprawls).
Service ok, views are into backs of other buildings.
Got tv, shower reasonably powerful. Reasonably cheap for nyc though. I
am gonna try the chelsea next time, or something a bit nearer to SoHo
and little Italy."
The best thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was:"Clean and fairly quiet"
The worst thing about Thirty Thirty Hotel was: "Small rooms, bad view, no good if you are not interested in shopping."
