"We stayed for 8 nights in Sept 07. Our room on the 6th floor was
spacious and modern with Floor to ceiling windows. This is our third
stay on International Drive and this is by far the best hotel. The
facilities were very good - nice pool, 2 restaurants, gym etc. The
concierge and bell men were very knowledgable and helpful if you want to
arrange trips or tickets. The location is pretty good. We didn't have a
car and so it was a 5min walk to Int Drive for restaurants & Bars etc.
There is an I-Ride stop (Green Line) directly outside the hotel which
can take you anywhere on Int Drive. It is also convenient for Universal
- Free shuttles are provided at certain times or a taxi is less than $6.

"Brilliant hotel close to Inernational Drive" |
|
"If you are planning a holiday to Orlando and only wish to do minimum
driving or are not going to be driving then this is an ideal hotel. It
is at most a 10 minute walk to International Drive where you will find
plenty of bars/restaurants. We used the taxi service from the hotel a
few times and were only charged $7.00 to the Olive Garden beside Pointe
Orlando. I would recommend uing this service as we were ripped off
getting taxis back to the hotel so we usually ended up walking. The
hotel itself was very clean and we were checked-in immediately. Upon
requesting a smoking room we were advised that the hotel was now all non-
smoking and had been for a couple of months - we were not informed about
this prior to our arrival. We had buffet breakfast a couple of times
which was really nice however the service was a bit slow. All the staff
were very friendly in the hotel and willing to help with any questions.
The pool area was adequate however in the height of summer I would
imagine the pool area could be quite crowded. Free towels are provided
at the pool area and cold towels were passed out to sun bathers on days
when the pool bar was set up. At present the hotel has no pool bar and
you need to use the bar inside which is not very convenient however on
days when the pool was busy and there was enough staff a tiki-hut was
set up which sold drinks and you could also order food from it. I
believe the hotel is planning to build a bar at the pool sometime in
August 06. The hotel also has a games room and a gym. The shop in the
lobby sold drink, snacks souveniers & british papers however the papers
were quite expensive between $3.75 - $5.00. Our room overlooked the pool
which was a nice view however if you were facing the other way you would
be overlooking the car-park so I would suggest asking for a pool view.
The rooms were cleaned every day & fresh towels, soap, shampoo etc
provided. The only complaint would be that the maid didn't come to our
room most days until 3-4 pm by which time we were usually back in the
room sleeping or watching a film on the tv. The room walls were quite
thin & at times you could hear the people in the room next door talking
or hear the tv & the air-conditioning was quite noisy however you got
used to it after a few days. The hotel also had in- room entertainment
at an additional cost which was not excessive. We purchased a few movies
at a cost of between $9.95- $12.95 & some of the films had not been
released in the uk yet. On every floor vending machines were provided
however they were not stocked often enough & most of the items were sold
out. A laundrey is also located on floor 2 of the hotel which we used
but only 2 washing machines & 2 dryers are provided therefore I don't
know how successful you will be in finding it empty during the summer
months. Overall our stay at this hotel was excellent with only a few
minor complaints as detailed above. I would recommend this hotel to most
age groups however families with young children may find limited
ammenties for children as the hotel isn't really geared toward
families."
