Description of the Express By Holiday Inn Edinburgh Waterfront Hotel

Modern and bright hotel located in the vibrant, re-generated Leith area of Edinburgh. The vast new Ocean Terminal with various shops, restaurants, bars and cinema is located on your doorstep as well as the historic former Royal yacht Britannia. Leith is an historic part of Edinburgh and the main focal point is The Shore with various bars and restaurants. Approximately a ten minute walk away is Newhaven which was once a busy fishing community; the fisherman's cottages have been restored and there is a heritage museum.The hotel and bedrooms are bright, fresh and contemporary ensuring a comfortable stay at a good value price.


Restaurant:-	No restaurant at the hotel. There is an extensive continental breakfast buffet set up in an area of the large open lobby with tables and chairs.
Families:-	Rooms available for 2 adults and 2 children (subject to availability) as well as interconnecting rooms; cots are also available
Business facilities:-	Two meeting rooms with maximum capacity of 30 people. There is no business centre but there are modem points in the bedrooms and an internet desk (payable) in reception.
Disabled facilities:-	Ramp access to the hotel and all public areas including toilets are accessible, some bedrooms have been specially adapted for wheelchairs
20 mins walk:-	Ocean terminal - Edinburgh's newest leisure and shopping centre, Royal Yacht Britannia, Leith Mills for Tartan and Woollen goods
Public transport:-	There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel. Edinburgh's historic city centre is approx. 4km away.
From the airport:-	Taxi takes approx. 20mins and costs c.20 GBP
Parking:-	Free uncovered parking for hotel guests
Bar:-	Hotel lobby bar open daily from 17.00 to 23.00
Room facilities:-	Non-smoking rooms available. Triple room may be double bed and sofa bed. No safes in bedroom but available in reception free of charge. Bathrooms are bright and modern and have power showers only.

"Cheap and uncheerful"
	"The hotel was clean and adequate, with a convenient but slightly out of the way location. The staff however were not very friendly or helpful and the two ladies presiding over breakfast were verging on rude and positively scary. The choice at breakfast was disappointing." 	"My wife is from China - we recently married - and this was a first experience for her in a uk hotel. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the bus service to Edinburgh centre was excellent. The hotel was clean and well-appointed rfepresenting good value for money. Definitely stay again soon......."
