"Can't ask for a better location and good value
" |

"In the heart of grassmarket and right next to the castle and the royal
mile, you just cannot ask for a better location. Good cheap, clean hotel
with friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone!
We were warned that the area can get very noisy, but we had no problems. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay!
"
The best thing about Grassmarket was:"Location, location, location!
"
The worst thing about Grassmarket was: "Bed was a little hard

"Best location for affordable hotel accommodation
" |

"The receptionist called our bedroom at 3am to ask if he had given us too
much change. Not only was it wrong to make a call at that time but he
had called the wrong room altogether. There had been no exchange of
money between us and him. He clearly needed to cover his back and so he
did a little a phone around in the small hours of the morning to do so.
When needing to get up at 6am for an early flight anyway, I was dumb
struck by this.

The best thing about Grassmarket was:"Location

The worst thing about Grassmarket was: "Our middle of the night call - see above

"Excellent personal service" |
|
"I did not personally stay at this hotel. I booked it for a party of
Chinese teachers and students who were visiting Edinburgh and it seemed
good value for money. I had to make several phone calls to the hotel
before and during their visit and was always dealt with courteously and
effeciently."
The best thing about Grassmarket was:"The staff at midas hotels who booked it all."
The worst thing about Grassmarket was: "It was not possible to book more than 5 rooms on line. I needed 7 and
so the party had to be split."
