"Good value in a great location

"The hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from Princes Street and was easy to
get to from our drop off point from the airport. We arrived 6 hours
early and were only going to drop our luggage off until checking in time
but found our room was ready and waiting for us which was a brilliant
start. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel room was everything we needed for a long weekend break. The room could perhaps do with a bit of modernisation in terms of the decor but everything was clean and tidy and we were chuffed. The en suite again was fine but could be modernised a bit, and the absence of a shower nozzle ensured a hosepipe like flow of water which was actually not that bad to shower under.
Breakfast was severed every morning between 8am and 10am with a choice of a full fried breakfast, toast or cereals, tea, coffee and juices. Spoilt for choice really, and with a self service style approach the extra rashers of bacon were most welcome.
Overall we had a great stay. The only thing I can fault are the toilets down stairs which I would stay clear of, these are very old and in need of serious modernisation but apart from that great value for money in a good convenient location.
"
The best thing about Swallow Learmonth Edinburgh was:"Excellent Self Service Breakfast
"
The worst thing about Swallow Learmonth Edinburgh was: "The MenÂs Toilets Downstairs
