Built in the 19th century, the hotel comprises a total of 36 attractive rooms, of which 30 are in the modern extension. The Wallace family, who own the hotel and run it themselves, are on hand to greet guests. Facilities on offer include a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, and lift access. Further amenities include a bar, a pub, conference facilities, and an award-winning restaurant. This hotel is a favourite amongst business travellers and is now increasingly the choice of discerning tourists. Room and laundry services round up the services on offer.

This hotel is set within well-tended gardens on the outskirts of Grangemouth. It has the look and feel of a country house, yet is within just a few minutes of Scotland's leading multinational companies and one of its major cities. Links to the public transport network are about 50 m away. The city centre, as well as countless shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, are situated approximately 2 km from the hotel, while it is some 3 km to the railway station.

The spacious rooms are decorated with rich colours and textures, and are equipped with a wide range of quality features for guests' comfort. Standard fittings include an en suite bathroom with shower or bathtub, satellite/ cable TV, a direct dial telephone, a trouser press, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Business guests may take advantage of the wide dresser which doubles as a writing desk. In addition, two of the rooms feature disability-friendly facilities. Other rooms have connecting doors which can be opened up, a feature popular with families. The remaining six rooms are located on the first floor in the original house, and their gracious ambience reflects a traditional style. With comfortable sofas, antique furnishings and lovely views across the lawns, these rooms also offer all the facilities of the newer wing.
