Description of the City Inn Westminster Hotel

Modern, stylish hotel located by the River Thames next to the Tate Britain. Large bright, contemporary reception area with spiral staircase leading up to a very modern funky bar decorated in creams and bright red. The restaurant is called City Cafe and has floor to ceiling windows creating a light and airy atmosphere which compliments the dark wood furnishing; contemporary cuisine and great service in stylish surroundings. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and offer extras such as DVD players and stereos (there is a complimentary DVD and CD library at the hotel). The bedrooms also have floor to ceiling windows and are very comfortable with a design feel to the decor; they are also of a good size for a London hotel.


Restaurant:-	City Cafe is open daily and serves varied extensive menu; fashionably styled and with good ambience the restaurant has gained a good local reputation. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Floor to ceiling windows along one side of the restaurant with a covered walkway area where people can also dine in the summer months.
Families:-	Rooms available that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children but these may be subject to room up-grades and supplements will apply.
Business facilities:-	There are conference rooms and private dining available at this hotel.
Disabled facilities:-	The hotel and public areas are accessible by wheelchair and there are some especially adapted bedrooms.
20 mins walk:-	Pimlico and Victoria, Tate Britain, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, London Eye and London Aquarium, River Thames
Public transport:-	Pimlico (Victoria Line); Westminster (Jubilee, District and Circle lines)
From the airport:-	From Gatwick airport take the train to Victoria and then either short walk or underground one stop to Pimlico; from Heathrow airport take Heathrow Express train to Paddington and then underground to Pimlico; Stansted take the Stansted Express
Parking:-	Parking is available at the hotel costing £30/24hrs midweek and £20/24hrs weekends
Bar:-	Millbank Lounge is a funky bar decorated in creams and rich, bright reds; the bar has cream booths and seating along one side which is ideal for those wanting to eat. Light menu available daily.
Gym:-	There is a gym available at the hotel which is free of charge to hotel guests
Room facilities:-	There are smoking and non smoking rooms available. Rooms are bright and contemporary with high level of amenities such as DVD and CD players, Mini bars, air conditioning and floor to ceiling windows creating a light airy feel. Power showers in all bedrooms. Higher floor rooms can have some great views across the city.

"Immaculate hotel with excellent facilities in a good location near the Thames "
	"The City Inn was in a nice quiet location not far from the Thames - we had a view of the river from our bedroom. Our room was neat and very clean and had great facilities. We felt that we had a wee bit of a walk to the tube station we were using (Westminster) and would have been happier if the dinner menu in the hotel had changed more often.
